Where to Eat Vegan Along Istanbul’s Levent–Maslak Business Axis 🌱🏙️

This is a random compilation of vegan and vegetarian lunch and dinner options in the business and finance axis of Istanbul between Levent and Maslak districts

Levent, 4. Levent and Maslak form one of Istanbul’s principal business districts, lined with office towers, bank headquarters, corporate plazas and shopping centres. Etiler lies immediately beside Levent, while İstinye Park is close to Maslak and the İTÜ-Ayazağa area.

This part of Istanbul works differently from the historic centre. Plaza restaurants serving quick lunches become particularly busy during office hours, while more formal venues cater to business dinners in the evening. Fully vegan restaurants remain limited, however. Most of the available choices operate mixed kitchens that also handle meat, dairy and eggs.

It is therefore important to distinguish between vegan, vegan-friendly and vegetarian restaurants. A vegetarian dish may still contain milk, butter, cheese, eggs or honey.

🌿 Etiler: The area’s clearest plant-based destination

Bi Nevi Deli

Category: Vegan-focused

Area: Etiler

Suitable for: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Bi Nevi Deli is one of the clearest plant-based choices close to the Levent–Maslak corridor. Its selection includes sandwiches, salads, hot dishes, cakes and desserts, alongside several items marked as gluten-free.

Unlike at most mixed restaurants in the business district, vegan diners do not have to construct a meal from a few side dishes. Etiler is a short taxi ride from the Levent metro area, although traffic can considerably extend the journey during peak hours.

🍕 Levent and Kanyon: From quick lunches to business meals

Olive’s Pizzeria

Category: Vegan-friendly

Area: Levent

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

Olive’s Pizzeria is one of the more straightforward options in the area because it offers a broader selection of vegan pizzas. Salads and other accompaniments may also be available.

Ask whether vegan cheese is currently offered, whether the dough contains milk or eggs, and whether vegan pizzas are prepared using shared utensils and surfaces.

Açai Vibes

Category: Vegetarian with vegan options

Area: Kanyon

Suitable for: A light lunch or snack

Located near Kanyon’s metro entrance, Açai Vibes serves açai bowls and smoothies. It makes more sense as a light lunch between meetings than as a full dinner destination.

Check the granola, chocolate, protein powder and other toppings individually. Not every topping offered with a plant-based bowl is necessarily vegan.

Wagamama Kanyon

Category: Vegetarian with limited vegan options

Area: Kanyon

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

Wagamama is a mixed-menu restaurant serving Japanese-inspired ramen, noodles, rice bowls and side dishes. Plant-based possibilities may include vegetable rice noodles and edamame.

A dish described as “vegetable” is not automatically vegan. Broths may contain meat or fish, noodles may contain eggs, and sauces can include honey, mayonnaise or fish products. Confirm the complete recipe before ordering.

Numnum Kanyon

Category: Vegetarian options

Area: Kanyon

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

Numnum’s broad international menu may be convenient when colleagues with different diets need to eat together. Current information, however, does not establish that it has an extensive, clearly marked vegan menu.

Vegan diners should ask about substantial main courses in advance rather than assume that salad will be the only available meal.

Plus Kitchen – Orjin

Category: Vegan-friendly

Area: Maslak, Orjin Plaza

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

This is one of the most practical choices for people working in Maslak. Counter dishes, lentil patties, grain bowls, salads and vegetable combinations can provide a quick office lunch.

The dishes and ingredients may change daily. Ask about soups, sauces and cooked vegetables, as even food displayed as an olive-oil dish can sometimes contain butter, yoghurt or meat stock.

Köşebaşı Levent

Category: Vegan-friendly mixed restaurant

Area: 3. Levent

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

Köşebaşı is principally a kebab and grill restaurant, but it can offer mezze, salads and plant-based choices for vegan guests. Its villa and garden setting can accommodate longer business meals and larger groups.

This remains a meat-focused establishment with a shared kitchen. Ask about shared grills, butter, yoghurt, meat stock and garnishes when ordering vegan kebabs or hot dishes.

Şans Restaurant

Category: Vegetarian options

Area: Levent

Suitable for: Formal lunch or dinner

Şans Restaurant, on Hacı Adil Avenue, serves modern Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine in a more formal setting suited best for business meals. Its menu is primarily centred on meat and fish, so it should not be treated as a dedicated a vegan destination. But Mediterannean and vegetarian courses available.

If a vegan main course is required, contact the restaurant while booking. Explain that the dish must not contain butter, cream, cheese, honey or animal-based stock. Turning up without advance notice may leave vegan diners with a much narrower selection.

🍽️ İstinyePark: More formal lunches and dinners

Epoca

Category: Vegetarian options

Area: İstinyePark

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

Epoca serves a mixed menu influenced by Mediterranean and Latin American cooking. There is positive information about gluten-free main courses and pizza, but the range of confirmed vegan main dishes appears more limited.

Ask about cheese, butter, cream, eggs and honey when requesting a vegan main course. The availability of its reported vegan dessert should also be checked on the day.

Mezzaluna İstinyePark

Category: Vegetarian

Area: İstinyePark

Suitable for: Lunch and dinner

Mezzaluna serves Italian food including pizza, pasta, ravioli and risotto. Vegetarians may find the menu easier to navigate, but the frequent use of cheese, butter, cream and eggs requires additional care for vegans.

Removing cheese does not automatically make a pizza vegan. Confirm the pizza dough, pasta, vegetable stock and sauces separately.

Zuma Istanbul

Category: Vegetarian with limited vegan options

Area: İstinyePark

Suitable for: Formal lunch or dinner

Zuma is an upscale, mixed-menu restaurant serving contemporary Japanese cuisine. A possible plant-based meal can be assembled from items such as vegetable maki, edamame, tofu salad, vegetable tempura and rice.

Some vegetable dishes contain butter or honey, while certain Japanese sauces may include fish products. If you are arranging a business lunch or special dinner, discuss the vegan choices while booking. Do not assume that a tasting menu served to the entire table can automatically be adapted.

🚇 Getting around the business district

The M2 metro line connects much of the corridor through Levent, 4. Levent and İTÜ-Ayazağa. Kanyon has direct access from Levent metro station, while İstinyePark can be reached from İTÜ-Ayazağa.

Reaching Etiler and some independent Levent restaurants may require a walk or a short taxi journey after the metro. Traffic around Büyükdere Avenue can be heavy during weekday morning and evening rush hours.
